Application SalesPro was designed to research online resources and build database of prospective clients. An objective was to explore and import various web-based customer lists and databases at ease (e.g. yellow pages). Once data are collected, application supports generating customer lists and keeps track of past communication. Either fax or customized email can be sent to selected recipients directly from application.

The are two versions of this application; BDE/Paradox tables (local file system) based and a client-server version, build using database firebird (open source alternative to Interbase). Database communication layer is CRUD\SQL based. Although Firebird is ACID-compliant, application design takes some shortcuts when multiuser access is used.

Email content have to be created following MIME specification. Binary data are encoded using 7 bit ASCII characters. An example of multipart MIME message is here.

Application was developed in Delphi 5 professional.
