Story 1: Evaluation of Surveys
A publishing company needed to evaluate reader’s survey. We
developed easy-to-use client-server application (allowed working more people at
the same time) for entering data into database. We designed user-friendly and
fast entry form. Finally, we generated several tables for MS Excel. Customer
was able to work with original data as well as customized results. He used MS
Excel for presenting data for management. They did not have any special server;
we simply use one of their computers as a server – no extra costs.
Story 2: Sharing company's information on the internet
A constructing company needed to share business partner contacts
among departments and employees. We designed client-server application allowing
setup access rights for some users to some information (No every employee can
see every information about customers).
After some time, they realized they needed to use this database
”whenever on the world”. We designed web-based interface for them for very low
price.
Story 3: Complex systems
The publishing company from story 1 has sales agents, barter
partners and agencies. Sales agents work in hierarchy structure. They are
selling advertising space. They get paid commission on every contract.
We have created information system for generating and printing
invoices, generating reports and statistics for sales and for projects, based
on different criteria. One of the goals was generating statistics based on
different criteria: year time period, advertising campaign or to evaluate
effects from rebates offered to customers. Based on these statistics, company
is able to predict effect of their activities and plan new strategies.
Company is using another programs. We developed several “bridges”
allowing fast, reliable and bug-free transfer records among them:

Some revenue was generated from projects not managed by sales agents. We
imported records about these projects and allowed producing more complex
statistics. They are able to generate more sophisticated information for
management using MS Excel. Tools like “address export module” and MS Words Mail
merge can generate customized letters and special offers based on sales
requests or special occasions (Christmas day greetings, promotions).

They wanted to avoid paying commission until they get money from customer. Now,
they simply import account statement from their bank and program matches
payments automatically.

They save lot of time simply generating batch file for invoices and payments
from invoices to accounting system.

Dealers are always interested in their money. They are able to see “money
state” and project state using web interface. Agencies asked for easy way to
import information into their own information systems. Using Web Services
company offers standard interface for B2B communication. Every partner can now
enter new orders using Internet.
